Safety

Safe by design.

Every person on Crushwink is a verified adult, and every report is read by a real person. Here's how we keep it that way.

  • Verified selfies

Every member takes a live selfie that a real person checks against their photos before they appear in Discover.

  • Adults only

Crushwink is for people 18 and over. Always.

  • Block and report

Block anyone, anytime. It's permanent and works both ways. Reports go to a real person.

  • Many reports, hidden fast

If 3 different people report someone within a week, they're hidden right away. We aim to review within an hour.

  • What we flag

Links, money requests and nudity in photos get a closer look.

  • What we never read

We don't read your chats unless someone reports a conversation.

  • Photos stay blurred until you tap

Photos in chat are blurred until you tap (you can change this in Settings). If a photo looks explicit, we warn the sender before it's sent and keep it blurred for you, with one-tap report. View-once photos really are view once.

  • Hide anytime

Hide your profile from Discover whenever you like. Your chats keep working.

  • Fair bans, one appeal

Bans block the phone number and the device. Every ban can be appealed once and is reviewed by a different person.

Chat safety tips

Read our Community guidelines, or contact support.

  1. 1

Take your time. Get to know someone in the app before sharing your number or socials.

  2. 2

Never send money, gift cards or crypto, however good the story.

  3. 3

Be careful with links. If something feels off, it probably is.

  4. 4

Meet in a public place for the first few dates and tell a friend where you'll be.

  5. 5

Trust your instincts. You can unmatch at any time, and the other person isn't told.

  6. 6

Photos in chat are blurred until you tap (you can change this in Settings). If a photo looks explicit, we warn the sender before it's sent and keep it blurred for you, with one-tap report.
